Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be completed via our website, over the phone, or in person at our Stamford office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. Full payment along with a security deposit is generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. 4. Picking Up and Dropping Off

Additional insurance options may be available to limit your financial responsibility. Reviewing these options is advisable. You remain liable for damage or loss up to the excess amount, unless covered by extra insurance. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities or purposes. Activities such as racing, rallying, off-roading, or other dangerous driving are prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited, as is exceeding passenger or weight limits. Additionally, driving outside the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Stamford will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the past year. This limitation does not apply to cases of negligence resulting in death or personal injury, or to instances of fraud.
